Kyrgyzstan had been on my list for years, but it wasn't until 2021 that I actually made it there. What followed was a road trip of about two weeks through a country that managed to surprise me in every way. In a Bukhanka, we drove through vast landscapes, past mountains, lakes, and places where you sometimes don't encounter anyone for hours.
Kyrgyzstan is a destination for those who love adventure and nature. The country consists largely of mountains and feels pristine in many places. Tourism is still in its infancy, and that is precisely what makes it interesting. From green alpine meadows to rugged mountain landscapes, every region has its own character. Those who want to travel off the beaten path will find a special destination in Kyrgyzstan.
