Turkey is a country I've been visiting for decades. My first trip was in 1994, to Bodrum, and I've been back countless times since. What began with visits to seaside resorts on the Aegean coast and the Turkish Riviera evolved into trips to more and more regions. These days, I primarily travel solo in a rental car across the country, from Istanbul and Ankara to southeastern Anatolia and the Black Sea coast.

What makes Turkey so special for me is the combination of hospitality, landscapes, and an incredibly rich history. From archaeological sites like Ephesus and Göbekli Tepe to vibrant markets and local cuisines that go far beyond döner kebab. It's precisely outside the well-known tourist areas that Turkey reveals its most surprising side. With Travel & Travel Tips, I want to show that Turkey is much more than just sun and sand.
