Travel tips for Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is a destination I love returning to again and again. My first real encounter was in 2012 during a visit to Prague, but since then I've explored many other cities and regions. While the capital is beautiful, I quickly realized that the Czech Republic has much more to offer than just Prague. It's precisely the smaller towns and quieter areas that make the country so appealing.

I found the Czech Republic to be a wonderful combination of cities, nature, and culture. From historic towns like Kutná Hora and Terezín to spa towns like Karlovy Vary and hiking areas in the Giant Mountains and Bohemian Paradise, among others. Added to this is a strong beer culture, good food, and reasonable prices. The Czech Republic invites you to explore beyond the well-known highlights and truly discover the country.

Why go to Czechia?

  • Because the Czech Republic is much more than just Prague
  • For atmospheric cities such as Kutná Hora, Karlovy Vary, Plzeň, Liberec and Žatec
  • To easily combine city and nature during one trip
  • For beautiful hiking areas such as the Giant Mountains, the Bohemian Paradise and the Eagle Mountains
  • Because the country is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling
  • For the strong beer culture and cities that are inextricably linked to beer history
  • Because you can eat well and affordably there, with dishes such as knedlíky and Czech goulash
  • And because the Czech Republic invites you to look beyond the well-known highlights
