Travel tips for Poland

For me, Poland is a country that continues to surprise you. Especially if you look beyond the familiar sights. My first encounter was Kraków, but I've since also visited cities like Warsaw, Łódź, Poznań, Toruń, Bydgoszcz, Lublin, Katowice, and Szczecin. What's striking is how diverse these cities are. From the industrial history of Łódź to the historic city center of Toruń and the beautiful architecture of Poznań.

Besides cities, I also saw a lot of nature. Regions like Lublin, the Beskids, the Jura Highlands, and national parks like Poleski, Roztoczański, Drawieński, and Wolin showcase the diverse landscape. Hiking, cycling, and water sports blend seamlessly here. History also plays a significant role, from remnants of World War II to the industrial heritage around Katowice. Poland is affordable, diverse, and suitable for all kinds of travel. It's a country that invites you to explore.

Why go to Poland?

  • Because Poland has surprisingly versatile cities, each with its own character and history
  • For historic cities like Krakow, Toruń, Poznań and Lublin, where you can still feel the past everywhere
  • To discover industrial sites, such as the textile history of Łódź and the mining history around Katowice
  • For diverse natural areas, from national parks to lakes, forests and hills
  • For walking, cycling or going out on the water in regions where it is still relatively quiet
  • Because you can see many traces of the Second World War here; from memorial sites to underground complexes
  • Because it is one of the more affordable countries in Europe, without compromising on quality
  • And because Poland invites us to look beyond the well-known places, such as Krakow and Auschwitz
