Travel tips for South America

South America is my favorite continent to travel to. Although I haven't visited every country yet, my most memorable trips have been to this part of the world. In 2008, I visited Venezuela for a few days. It wasn't until 2016 that I returned and traveled through Bolivia and I discovered the diverse landscape of this country. From dry forests to deep jungles and from a gigantic salt flat with high mountain peaks and colorful lakes to the wet pampas. My journey through Bolivia was extremely impressive. Equally impressive was my road trip through southern PatagoniaChile and Argentina are both fantastic destinations with incredibly friendly people. I enjoyed the road trip so much that a few years later I also visited the northern part of Patagonia. Ecuador, Uruguay, Suriname, and Brazil are still on my list to visit. South America is the perfect destination for adventurous travelers and outdoor enthusiasts. Unique animals, vast deserts and salt flats, active volcanoes, deep jungles, the highest waterfalls in the world, and a melting pot of different cultures. Discover this continent by backpacking or rent a car and explore the unique highlights. There are still plenty of hidden gems to discover here.
