As of May 25, 2018, every website that processes personal data is legally required to have a privacy statement. Reizen & Reistips also stores some data from our visitors, and in this article, we briefly and clearly explain what we do with this data.

What personal data do we process?

Reizen & Reistips processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

What particular and/or sensitive personal data do we process?

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore encourage parents to be involved in their children's online activities to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. How long do we keep your personal data?

Comments on the website:

On Reizen & Reistips, you can leave comments under a post. We ask for your name, email address, and possibly a website address. This information is visible to everyone on the website once a comment has been posted. You can choose whether you receive a reply when you post a comment on the website. Your IP address is also visible to us on the back of the website. This information will be retained until we delete it. If you would prefer a comment to be deleted, please contact us. Forms on the website:

We have two contact forms on Reizen & Reistips. One is the standard contact form. We ask for your name and email address. After submitting the form, we receive an email in my inbox, and the emails are also stored in the WordPress backend. The same applies to the form on the "Submit Guest Post" page, with the added bonus that we also ask for your company name (although this is not a required field). If you'd like to see the contents of an email, you can send me an email at [email protected]We will not do anything further with this information.

Statistics:

Reizen & Reistips uses Google Analytics and statistics from hosting provider TransIP, which allow us to determine which pages are visited and the browsing behavior of visitors to my website. We use this data to gain insight into the performance of Reizen & Reistips and, if necessary, to optimize the website. While this data doesn't contain any personal data, we can see the anonymized IP address. All statistics have been stored since the beginning of the connection with Google Analytics. This allows us to continue monitoring the growth of Reizen & Reistips. The data is not shared with third parties, but we do report the number of visitors per month on various external websites.

What cookies or similar technology do we use?

Reizen & Reistips uses functional, analytical, and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you first visit this website. Reizen & Reistips uses cookies with purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferences are remembered. Travel & Travel Tips places cookies from Google. We do this to monitor how visitors use the website. To protect your privacy as much as possible, we have a data processing agreement with Google and have disabled data sharing. We have anonymized the IP address you use in our Google Tag Manager code. Social Media:

You can easily share posts and pages on Reizen & Reistips using the social media buttons on the website. Most social media channels use cookies, but we have no control over how these cookies are placed. Please consult the relevant social media channels to find out how they use the collected information.

Affiliate partners:

At Reizen & Reistips, we use several affiliate partners: Bol.com, Booking.com, getyourguide.nl, tiqets.nl, and TradeTracker. These partners place a cookie, which we have no control over. The data sent cannot be traced back to you personally.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Reizen & Reistips does not sell your information to third parties and will only share it if necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We have data processing agreements in place with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Reizen & Reistips remains responsible for these processing operations.

How to access, correct or delete your data?

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data or to object to the processing of your personal data by Reizen & Reistips, and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organization you specify.
